Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him. James 1:12 (NIV)
Too often when adversity strikes, we tend to feel uncertain, hopeless, and powerless. When we discover the power of letting go and letting God into every aspect of our lives, blessings begin to follow you to a blessed life.
A Blessed Life
Many of us know that life can be stressful if we let it. Here are a few ways to relieve that stress through self-care. Taking a walk, a hobby, talking with a friend are a few ways to destress. You may want to incorporate some time to have a spiritual friend walk with you, or join a Bible study group at your Church. Then take a step back for a minute, we may gain a new perspective. For myself, reading scripture and praying helps me regain my focus on what truly matters most in my life at the moment. Afterwards I feel more joy and peace. And I believe you will feel more joy, more peace too.
See what works for you. Prayer, reading scripture, journaling, meditating. Many times you’ll discover applying journaling with your readings and prayers will bring you closer to God and His purpose for you.
