Freedom to choose Freedom to be all God created you to be

Freedom to choose Freedom to be all God created you to be!

The beginning or anniversary of an event may be a celebration of something which occurred years and years ago. Here in the United States, we celebrate Independence Day on the 4th of July. We recognize this day as a day of the freedoms we sometimes take for granted.

Have you ever given much thought to how people live in other countries that are less fortunate than we are. A place where you are not allowed to express yourself. Talk about religion, politics, or even make decisions for yourself and your family. It’s nauseating to believe that such freedoms as we have are such a blessing that other parts of the world don’t experience, or even have a clue what life is like other than how life exists for them as it may.

We as individuals are free to make decisions for ourselves every single day without any interference or through any government intervention. We can choose what schools we go to, where we are going to raise a family, what career path we may decide to pursue and so much more. Now there are still laws in place, so we make decisions based upon not going down the wrong path in life, bringing harm to others, destroying property, and allowing any other evilness into our lives. Pretty much life as summed up in the law of the Prophets.

Treat others as we would want to be treated. Do good and good will come back to you. If you want to be trusted than you must earn it. Nothing in life is free. But we are free to make choices about the life and lifestyles in this little corner of the world we live in. Personally, I love the idea of being able to choose the freedom in which we stand for. I can choose where my wife and I live. I get to choose what I do for a living; my wife and I get to choose what Church we will attend.

My friend, do you have the “Believer’s freedom”

“I have the right to do anything,” you say—but not everything is beneficial. “I have the right to do anything”—but not everything is constructive. 1 Corinthians 10:23 (NIV)

What about you? What do you choose? Let us celebrate the freedom we have and the choices we have made, the sacrifices of others so we can celebrate “Freedom”.

Let us pray, O Heavenly Father, thank you for this very day and everyday of life you have blessed us so dearly with to have the freedom to make our own choices. Let us remember those who have fought for our freedom. And let us not take for granted anything that would bring harm to anyone. We ask this in Jesus name, Amen…
