Now many people may ask what’s the difference of Joy and happiness. One is eternal and the other is temporal. Happiness is found outside of us when we get that promotion, buy that new car, or vacation you have been saving for. While having a dream and patiently waiting to see them come to fruition brings happiness doesn’t last forever. The shiny new car will become dirty and need maintenance, the vacation will be a wonderful memory, and the promotion will leave you pursuing the next. Joy on the other hand is the way we feel on the inside despite our circumstances.
The Holy Spirit, Jesus, and God all have one thing in common, they are one. A man and a woman become one in marriage. When you discover the who you are in Christ you find Joy, Peace, Hope, and Love are all united within the trinity of God. All your circumstances good or bad does bring joy to those who hope in the Lord, you’ll experience His peace beyond anything you have ever felt before, bringing more Joy to you knowing this is a sense of contentment. This is Joy everlasting no matter where you are in life.
Babies expel joy and bring joy to others. Pets bring joy to their owners. Like the trinity, without one, you won’t truly know the other. We find joy in our work when we are appreciated and serving a purpose. When we are together with our family laughing, crying and being together in love, laughter, and in troublesome times. We have a forgiving heart for those who offended us.
Listening to Christmas music sparks joy. It is heard every where we go, in the stores, on the radio, in Church, and in our homes. These hymns bring hope, love, joy and peace together as we reflect upon the true meaning of Christmas.
When you surrender yourself to Christ and believe He is the Messiah who came to wash away your sins and acknowledge Him in always knowing we take Joy in His presence knowing He will come again. We adore Him for what He has done and continue to do brings everlasting joy to all.
