Our Divine Calling

Our Divine Calling

But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus—the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God. Acts 20:24 (NLT)

Have you ever thought you were less than deserved, missed your divine calling, or failed a new adventure? Here’s what I discovered.

First, you deserve everything you have now, and all God has in store for you, in His time, not our time.

Second, often we are called many times during our lifetime and may come to you as a blessing in disguise. We become confused when trying to think too much about our purpose or your career. In fact, our calling isn’t about us at all, or our career.

Third, the Lord loves it when we search for new opportunities and failing doesn’t mean the door is closed either. Again, it may not be our time yet. Maybe we have more to learn. I often wondered why my audience wasn’t growing like I had hoped. When talking with my writing coach about this, she asked some simple questions to help encourage me to write even more. Her message was simple, she asked me, “Have you ever read a book that spoke to you more so than other books.

God has designed each one of us with a divine purpose. Don’t be confused by why. Instead embrace where you are now and use the gifts God has given to you to be a blessing to someone else.

Whether you serve at Church or some other organization it is an honor to help others as an ambassador for God.
