Who is Jesus

Who is Jesus

I had asked, “who is Jesus”. We know He is the son of God. Our Messiah, Savior, Teacher, Counselor, Healer, Mentor, and our Friend. But what does Jesus’ character represent. His true nature and character are awesomely exhibited by and through love.

We also discussed what love is. His nature was to love others and taught us through scripture how to love others. What love is and is not. God is love.

God is Love

Who is Jesus

Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us, and his love is perfected in us. 1 John 4: 7–12 (ESV)

The spiritual gifts we possess all come from love. There are many spiritual gifts, and we all have at least one of these gifts and sometimes we may receive other gifts as we grow in faith. What all the spiritual gifts have in common is love. You cannot possibly share a gift and not do so without love.

If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing. 1 Corinthians 13:1–3 (NIV)

If God is love, and we are born in His image, then how shall we exemplify God’s love. The two greatest commandments call us to love God and to love others too. We innate the gift of love. We all have spiritual gifts, but our gifts mean nothing without love. For it is through love all blessings flow and our desire to help with our spiritual gifts and not keep them. Use them freely to be a blessing to everyone.

Love must be sincere, hate what is evil, cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. Romans 12:9–10 (NIV)

Love is …

Love is an emotional connection, a deep affection, and compassion for others. Sometimes sacrifices encompass our deepest desires to be fruitful amid the well-being of others. Let us remember, people are hurting emotionally, financially, and succinctly spiritually. Have you discovered through reading scripture nourishes the soul, a sense of peace in the midst the storms of life we often find the solutions to your very own struggles. The reasons for us struggling may appear later, at a time when you can be of help with someone going through what you experienced. During these difficult times, be prayerful while waiting patiently upon the Lord.

Wait Patiently upon the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently upon the Lord. Psalms 27:14(NLT)

I waited patiently upon the Lord; He turned to me and heard my cry. Psalms 40:1 (NIV)

Spiritual Gifts to use according to His Purpose for us

https://thomasbrattonauthor.com/spirituality/

The Lord gives us spiritual gifts to serve others. We don’t all have the same gifts. We may be called into Ministry to serve. Maybe we serve others at work, volunteering, or raising a family. We may serve others in the simplest way as being hospitable towards those we encounter at the butcher, waiting in line, offering to pick up some groceries for a neighbor when you’re going to the store. We are called to serve in many aspects of our daily life. In what ways have you served others this week?

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11(NIV)

A lot of us may be wondering if our gifts are useful at work. Should we choose a vocation based upon our spiritual gifts. Absolutely consider this as the Lord hath said, “He has plans to prosper you”; the Lord blesses us in many ways. Start a list of everything that interests you. If it is Gods will, you’ll find doors of opportunity that no one can shut. Before you begin, pray and ask God how you can be of service to others with
